1. Stock gets DDs as stock. There are seperate admins for devs entered as photos. So this didn't displace anything you might like better.
2. Stock is an important part of DA.
3. How do you know people are faving this only because its a DD? DDs get more favs because they have much higher visability.
AND I have a comment and suggestion for everyone who is jumping on the bandwagon and saying this didn't deserve a DD:
4. This artist did NOT pick his or her own work as a DD! So instead of posting stuff about how much this picture didn't deserve a DD on this page, which will go to the artist, send a private note to the admin.

I'm sorry but I can't see it. It looks like a simple picture of a tree at about 6 o' clock in the fall. There really isn't anything special or unique about it. The composistion is fairly lacking and the picture doesn't even look straight. I don't know why this got a DD, it just doesn't deserve it. Sorry, it's just not good. I've seen better, I'm sure anyone could find better by simply looking in the devthumbshare forum.

i know how much a stock photo is worth to DA and i love stock photos and infact i am mostly a photomanipulator so they are very important to me as well. but when this gets a DD over this [link] that is what gets me, this piece is a beautifully croped and more wonderfull in color then that blue badly lit photoalbum quality "DD" piece. Also that artist has only 35 page views i mean give your page views and favorites to this artist, and dont give your favs to stuff just because it is blue and a DD
