These Hands never let go
The bible tells me so
They didn't flinch when the nails went in
They didn't hesitate to cleanse me of my sin

If this (judging by the title and description) photograph is about or featuring the sky why is there a tree in the way?

It is implied that the sky is an important part of the photograph yet at most the sky is only 40% of the image..

at the very least I think more to the implication of the importance of the sky this image might fare better if cropped to remove the ground or photographed in a way to include no ground (this also applies to the body of water)

this, to me, while still not making the sky the obvious subject of the photograph (the tree would still dominate) it would make the ground (which if we view the photograph in the scope of title/description) would become something that wouldnt get in the way of the main subject, the sky and the tree reaching toward it..

that being said, the symetry of the tree and how it is split down the center makes it appear less than appropriate for an off center composition... as part of the tree on the left is cropped out of the image it seems to give a feeling of wondering what else is over there, or a lobsided feeling of attention toward that side.. this might have been solved by centering the tree so nothing was cropped off..

getting rid of the ground would also solve the problem of needing to worry if the horizon is level!

what's with this shot ? it's one of the most common and trivial i've ever seen...dd ? it clearly shows how much it's worth now.
